Customer Reviews

"Surprenant restaurant. Bonne table, mais dommage que les huitres n'ont pas le meme accompagnement qu'en France. Pas de beurre sale, ni echalotes avec vinaigre. Gout fade."

"I ordered a Cheeseburger and fries, my hubby an oyster dinner at market price. The service was quick and efficient. The atmosphere was an old bar look which was fine because we heard the food was good. The cheeseburger looked delicious. It was cooked the way I like it and all veggies were fresh. I bit into it though and was very disappointed. The burger had a peculiar taste to it. I couldn't eat more than half. The taste I was experiencing was in the fries too. I had to eat two mints to kill the taste. The taste was like old dirty oil mixed with a seafood taste. My hubby was disappointed in the oysters they were chopped in small pieces. He ate everything on his plate but said he had a peculiar aftertaste of old oil. He was as disappointed as I was . Service was impressive. The market price of those oysters was 22.00 . He decided we'd just buy oysters and make our own . The place was crowded. Unfortunately we decided we were not going to return."

"Very busy place for 4 pm on a Tuesday! We tried their very good fried mozzarella sticks and very much enjoyed a Shrimp PoBoy and some Asian wings! This little place had friendly service and was a welcomed and unexpected surprise!"

"I really enjoy small hole in the wall places so I was delighted to happen across this oyster bar on our way down to Orlando. While the service and mom-and-pop vibe were both top notch, most of the food was just not it. I will say they did live up to their namesake, the oysters were huge, fresh, and tasty. Everything else fell quite short -- but most egregious were the "blackened" scallops. First time I've paid $25 for a plate of anything and left it mostly untouched when we took our leave. The scallops were very faintly dusted with blackened seasoning, but were majorly flavorless outside of an off putting "not fresh" taste, overcooked, and rubbery. My wife barely touched her (frozen) chicken tenders, not a fan at all. I want to emphasize our server was great, very sweet lady who was attentive and super pleasant. Stick to the oysters and you'll likely have a more enjoyable meal than I did."

"Oh Shucks is one of those places you'd probably drive right by and not give much thought to. It looks kinda rough on the outside and the inside isn't much fancier. But don't let this fool you. They have very reasonable prices, ice cold beer, and my ham & turkey club on homemade jalapeno toast was one of the best I've ever had. Thick, real meat--not deli slices. The staff were really friendly, and I loved the no frills, no pretense, vibe. A tip tho - If you sit at the bar, you may be sitting right over a trash bin and you might catch a funky spent oyster-shell smell. But people were absolutely crushing those big oysters, so they're clearly a hit."

"We live here now. When someone from out of town comes, wants shrimp or oysters, this is the place! The servers are friendly and accommodating, Cara, our server was awesome! The atmosphere is eclectic , welcoming and just a great neighborhood place. "

"Our group ordered multiple items and had to buy of each. Their raw oysters are $1.50 each market price as of the date of this post. I always eat the first one with no lemon, cocktail sauce, horseradish, or cracker to determine the freshness and these were perfectly fresh with no fishy flavor. Exceptionally fresh and tasted like the ocean. The fried shrimp PoBoy was good. The french fries were my personal favorite type that have the crispy outside with a bit of breading so I definitely recommend them. They had the Friday fish fry and the fish's batter was very light and the fish flavor was great. Fast service from the two waitresses and I believe one's name was Bri? They both worked together and checked up on you every time they pass by. If you want to get under one of the waitresses skin be sure to order a water with no ice and then don't drink it until the end of the meal lol inside joke so if she reads this she might remember us. We sat on the back patio and there was plenty of room. Definitely recommended if you want fresh oysters and we'll be back the next time we visit family there!"
